LEPAS Partners with Black Coffee Foundation to Champion Youth Empowerment

20 March, Johannesburg – LEPAS, the emerging mobility brand in South Africa, has announced a strategic partnership with the Black Coffee Foundation in support of youth empowerment, education, and community development. The collaboration was celebrated at an exclusive foundation lunch attended by Lepas South Africa senior managers, partners, and media — marking a shared commitment to purpose, impact, and social contribution.

Having recently entered the South African market, the brand unveiled the LEPAS L4 entry model on 3 March 2026 as its first locally available vehicle. The L4 is the first of several models planned, with the L6 and L8 set to follow in the months ahead. Beyond offering innovative and purposeful vehicles, LEPAS is focused on making a meaningful difference in the communities it serves.

The central aim of this partnership is to support and amplify the work the Black Coffee Foundation is already doing — helping the organisation connect with more young people and communities across the country. The foundation boasts a strong track record of providing access to education, creating opportunities, and empowering youth throughout South Africa.

A Brand With Purpose

“South Africa is a country full of energy, ambition, and creativity. It is the perfect market for LEPAS, a brand that values intelligence, purpose, and presence. But we are not just here to launch vehicles. We want to contribute in a meaningful way to communities where we operate,” said Jay Jay Botes, GM of LEPAS South Africa.

As part of the partnership, LEPAS is sponsoring vehicles for the foundation to support its programmes and outreach initiatives. These vehicles will directly assist the foundation’s operations, helping deliver education, mentorship, and other essential programmes to young people in communities across the country.

Extending Reach and Impact

“We are deeply committed to uplifting young people and communities across South Africa. Education, opportunity, and empowerment are at the heart of what we do,” said Lungile Maphumulo, CEO of Black Coffee Foundation. “This partnership with LEPAS helps extend our reach and impact, enabling us to support more young people in practical and sustainable ways.”

“Our goal is simple. We want to enable the foundation to reach more communities, support more young people, and extend the impact of the incredible work it already does,” said Luke Cao, Country Director of LEPAS South Africa.

Through this partnership, LEPAS demonstrates that its commitment to South Africa extends well beyond vehicles. The sponsorship of cars and ongoing support of the foundation reflect the belief that mobility, empowerment, and opportunity can combine to create real, lasting change.

The LEPAS range is available now at Lepas Thorp Brackenfell, Lepas Thorp N1 City, and Lepas Thorp Table Bay.
